Artesia Coffee House
The Artesia Coffee House was established by CCA volunteers in 2003 to feature the performing arts on the Sunshine Coast. It serves as a venue for performers and a social hub in a comfortable space to gather, connect and engage with their community.
Our first location was at the Rockwood Pavilion on the ground level space affectionally known as the ‘Cellar’. As it grew, the venue moved to the Sunshine Coast Arts Centre on Trail Avenue in Sechelt.
Initially held monthly, the coffeehouse now takes place as a Spring series in partnership with the Sunshine Coast Arts Council, partly due to the growth of Art Crawl and other local events, as well as limited venue space.
There is an entry fee to cover costs, including performer compensation, with a mix of musicians and spoken word artists featured. The events boast excellent sound, 3 to 4 diverse acts, and delightful refreshments, with seating arranged around candlelit tables.
